A short biography...

My name is Andrew Sloan and I am an American artist from Kansas City, Missouri.  I graduated from Belton High School in 1994, then attended the University of Central Missouri where I studied Comercial Art with an emphasis in Illustration.  After graduating in 1999 with a BFA, I moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began working professionally in a career that has seen me provide illustration and graphic design for many top companies in the United States as well as internationally.  Previously housing both illustration and graphic / web design services through this site, I launched www.design-forces.com in 2012 to better differentiate my work in these separate genres.  If you need any graphic and web design work, handled by myself and some of the best in the business, check us out!  Through this site I feature my illustration work, created in an edgy and grinded style which I feel presents a unique take on the subject matter.  The image is more deconstructed, more technical in it's layering and story telling.  As an illustrator, I have always been influenced by the work of such artists as Hajime Sorayama, Eric Dinyer and Steve Mayse among others.
